We don't have "garage sales" in Rhode Island...we have "yard sales". In Connecticut, they have "tag sales". I gre up in upstate NY, and there they were "garage sales". I guess it's a question of geography....

I guess if I look on the bright side, I could term it spring cleaning. Either way, it`s a real PITA.

No "robodillos" in this neck of the woods. They frquent Arkansas where Old Man lives.
This year it`s cats around here. Mother Mabelle (the shop cat) wasn`t the only one who was busy last spring!

This weekend is Shepherd's Maple Syrup Festival and the area is rampant with sales of both the "garage" and the "yard" variaties. Of course, we're getting in on the action, too. Shell made $68 this morning, and it's a good way to move the spring cleaning along!

He hasn't said anything, Serge, but I did see him yesterday driving around crazily on his joystick controlled lawn mower flailing around with a stick. Too far away to see what was going on.

I can relate, the wife and daughter in law held a garage sale this weekend at my house, my daughter in law said most of the men were looking for tools, wanted to know if I had any, I went and made sure my shop was locked. The girls did good, made $350.00 in about 5 hours on Saturday, rained that morning.

No thanks, after that abduction in 85, I've had enough of them Martian/Garage-Sale types!

Oh, Elvis "is" alive and flying a pink saucer that absolutely reeks of peanut butter and bacon!

In Philly we don't have many garages or yard for that matter. So we set up tables around the Cemetery or Church and have a Flea Market. Don't ask me where they got that name from.
